Beauty By Alexandra, does not provide refunds for any service(s) and/or Gift Certificates purchased.

Quality Guarantee – Eyelash / Brow Lamination

The results of a Lash Lift typically last four to six weeks, depending on how quickly your eyelashes grow. You should avoid mascara for 48 hours after the treatment, and leave lashes untouched for a full day.

If you have unruly, flat or downward growing hairs, Eyebrow Lamination can change the direction of growth to create a more uniform look with a higher arch and a more desirable brow shape. Brow lamination lasts 4 to 6 weeks generally.

Here are some tips to keep them looking good for longer:

KEEP IT DRY In the first 24 hours after your treatment it’s super important to keep your lashes away from any water, steam, or sweat – that means no steam rooms, no swimming and no intense exercise. So whatever you do, don’t get a lash lift on a spa day and be extra careful when booking your pre-holiday appointment!

DON’T TOUCH Try not to rub your eyes or touch your lashes too much after your lift, as this can push them out of their picture perfect curl. It’s also good to avoid sleeping on your side or on your face if you can, as this also changes their shape.

BRUSH Brush your lashes daily to keep them looking fluffy and stop them getting tangled. A lash brush is made especially for this, but the free spoolies you can find in most makeup shops, or an old mascara wand that you’ve cleaned, will also do the trick.

PRODUCT Oil up those lashes 3 – 5 times a week with a nut oil of your choice. Emmy recommends sweet almond oil, jojoba oil, coconut oil or castor oil for best results.

MASCARA If you still want to wear mascara after your lash lift, just make sure you’re using a water-based formula and steer clear of waterproof mascara! Use oil free make-up remover to take it off, and gently pat your lashes dry afterwards – no rubbing.


Quality Guarantee – Gel Polish

Gel Polish – often referred to as *Shellac* – is a light-cured polish product that may last a duration of 2-4 weeks depending on several factors specific to the client including: client lifestyle, client health and following of maintenance instructions.

However, there may also be additional complications in the application process, chemistry of the product and other factors that may cause product breakdown (peeling, lifting, fading, wrinkling, etc).

Due to this, Beauty By Alexandra provides a 3-day guarantee period, in which if you experience any of these issues you may return to the salon to have a repair done FREE of charge. However, it is at Beauty By Alexandra’s discretion! If we feel that your product breakdown was not caused by error in application and exceeds normal wear and tear you will be charged for the nail repair service which is from £5!

How to make your Gel Application last longer:

PRODUCT Use cutile oil everyday to keep the nails nutrished.

TOOLS Don’t use your nails as tools as this will cause lifting or chips.

AVOID wear gloves when using cleaning products and avoid using hot water.


Quality Guarantee – Acrylic Nail Enhancements

Acrylic Nail Enhancements are a semi-permanent nail product designed to last on your nails for an indefinite time period when appropriately maintained. Maintenance on these services should be conducted every 2 to 3 weeks!

Acrylic Nail Enhancements are NOT indestructible, and you can experience complications after a service including loss of nail, severe breakage and other issues. Due to this, Beauty By Alexandra provides a 3-days guarantee period in which I may return to your house to have repairs done free of charge! However, it is at Beauty By Alexandra’s discretion!

If we feel that your product breakdown was not caused by error in application, chemistry error, or exceeds normal wear and tear you will be charged for the nail repair service, price starting from £5! Any additional repairs required outside of the 3-day time frame will be subject to an additional charge (please see our Nail Fix Policy)!


Quality Guarantee – 3D Embellishments

All nail art fixtures with raised surfaces such as Swarovski Crystals, glitter and 3-D embellishments are NOT guaranteed by Beauty By Alexandra due to the unpredictable nature of the client’s daily activity that may cause loss of these items!


Nail Fix Policy

We understand that external factors may cause you to experience issues with your nail care services including broken nails, chipped nails, etc and that these issues may not be covered within our Quality Guarantee Policies.

For fixes scheduled outside of a regularly scheduled maintenance appointment, Beauty By Alexandra reserves the right to charge £5 For 1 nail that is to be repaired or replaced then £2.50 for any additional Nails. For fixes inside of a regularly scheduled maintenance appointment, Beauty By Alexandra reserves the right to charge £2.50 PER nail that is to be repaired or replaced.

These costs do NOT include nail art or design that may have previously been on the nail needing repair or replacement. If you wish to have the design replaced this will be an additional charge based on the design chosen by the client (please contact me directly to discuss this).


Age Policy

Beauty By Alexandra believes in providing high-quality services to all our clients. Because of this, we only provide Acrylic Nail Enhancement services on those individuals 16 years of age and older and we only provide Gel Polish services on those individuals 12 years of age and older!


Children and Group Policy

Due to hazardous chemicals, products and implements within the environment, Beauty By Alexandra asks that you please refrain from having small children to your appointment! Please also refrain from bringing multiple friends/family or groups of friends/family to your appointments!


Nail Fill Policy

Maintenance should be performed on Acrylic Nail Enhancement services every 2/3-weeks to ensure the integrity of your service and the health of your natural nails.

Due to an increased product cost and increased appointment time required for maintenance on Acrylic Nail Enhancements, those individuals who wish to receive or exceed a 4-week maintenance schedule will be charged for a Full Set, Priced from £30.

There may be exceptions to this policy, as we understand that the rate of natural nail growth may be different for every client. We ask that each client discuss this with us so we can make appropriate appointment arrangements.


Other Nail Technicians Work

We will not perform services to clients if they already have existing Acrylic Nail Enhancements from another Nail Technician. We are unable to fully identify the method of preparation, method of application and the product used in your previous service. Due to these varying factors, allergic reactions, adverse chemical reactions, and an increase in natural nail injury may occur.

It is our #1 priority to ensure the health and safety of our clients both during and following their appointments with us.

We ask that if you are a client looking to book in with us that you understand that to ensure your health and safety you will need to receive a complete Acrylic Nail Removal (£10) in addition to a NEW Full Set (£30).

We ask that all individuals contact us directly to discuss these services.


Gift Vouchers

Beauty by Alexandra offers gift vouchers with 6 Months/12 months expiry on them dated from when they are purchased. Don’t worry if you lose it as we keep track of them and when they get used, just get in contact and we will issue a new one.

Gift vouchers can only be redeemed against treatments not products.


Cancellation Policy

If you are needing to cancel or reschedule an appointment at Beauty By Alexandra 24 hours’ notice is REQUIRED. This ensures that we can all make appropriate arrangements to rebook your appointment while also giving other clients the opportunity to fill your cancelled space!

Failure to provide appropriate notice will result in a cancellation fee of £10 being charged to you. This cancellation fee will be due within 24-hours of the cancelled appointment via Paypal ([email protected]).

Failure to provide payment of the Cancellation Fee may result in the inability to re-book your appointment with Beauty By Alexandra!

Late Policy

We ask that if you believe you are going to be arriving to your appointment late that you notify Beauty By Alexandra immediately with your estimated time frame.

Please keep in mind, if you are 10-minutes late arriving to your appointment, your appointment will be automatically cancelled as we will no longer have time to sufficiently complete your service.

You will be charged a £10 Late Fee. This late fee will be due within 24-hours of the cancelled appointment via Paypal ([email protected]) and once received, you will be rescheduled.

Failure to provide payment of the Late Fee may result in the inability to re-book your appointment with Beauty By Alexandra!

No-Show Policy

We ask that if you are unable to make your scheduled appointment time, that you please notify Beauty By Alexandra immediately!

If you do not arrive to your scheduled appointment time within 15-minutes you will be considered a no-show, which will result in a £10 No Show Fee, this No-Show Fee will be due within 24-hours of your scheduled appointment time via Paypal ([email protected])

It will be at the discretion of Beauty By Alexandra if we feel comfortable rescheduling your appointment.

Covid-19

In additional to our already existing policies within Beauty By Alexandra we are implementing the following policies related to COVID-19.

These policies may be updated at any time without notice based on the recommendations by the Government.

When I arrive at the clients home for their appointment(s) if clients are against the above guidelines or refuse to follow the above guidelines, these individuals may be charged for 100% of their service.


Symptoms

If clients are exhibiting any of the following symptoms, they are asked to reschedule their appointment while providing appropriate notice, as per the Cancellation Policy, where possible:

  • Fever
  • Headache
  • New or worsening cough
  • Sore throat
  • Runny Nose
  • Sneezing
  • Shortness of breath

Travel + Positive Tests

If clients have travelled outside of England, tested positive for COVID-19, or been in contact with an individual(s) with symptoms of COVID-19 these clients will be asked to reschedule their appointment while providing appropriate notice, as per the Cancellation Policy.


Masks

Clients will be asked to wear a mask during their appointment with Beauty By Alexandra.

It is preferred that the client is wearing their mask when I arrive, however, masks will be provided to those clients without one for an additional fee of £1.


Privacy Policy

GDPR (Why we collect your personal data and what is done with it)

When you supply your personal data to Beauty BY Alexandra they are stored and processed for the below reasons:

  • We need to collect some personal information about you and your health in order to make sure there are no contraindications to your treatment, and legal requirements. You can of course, refuse to provide the information, however unfortunately we would have to refuse your treatment as this form is a legal requirement for our insurance.
  • We have a legal obligation to retain your records for seven years after your most recent appointment. After this time your records will be destroyed in a method compliant with GDPR.
  • Records recorded on Jotform.com, which is password protected and only accessible by Alexandra Findlay.
  • Your phone number and email may be used electronically, with your permission. This is for appointment reminders or occasional offers.
  • If you wish to contact us via social media, this is password protected but for historic issues with privacy associated with social media sites, you may wish to think about what you send us.
  • We will never share your data with anyone who does not need access without your consent. Only Alexandra Findlay will have access to your data.
  • You have the right to see what personal data of yours we hold and you can also ask the Beauty By Alexandra to correct any factual errors. Provided the legal minimum period has elapsed, you may also ask the business to erase your records.
  • We would like you to be confident that we treat your personal data responsibly and that we do everything we can to make sure that only people who can access that data have a genuine need to. Of course, if you feel we have mishandled your data in some way, you have the right to make a formal complaint.
